Kidney Failure – What is it, Symptoms and Treatments!

Kidney Failure – What it is, Symptoms and Treatments of this condition. Furthermore, Kidney Failure is a term that encompasses all grades of impaired kidney function, risk impaired by mild, moderate and severe Kidney Failure . is a global public health problem . In the United States, there is an increasing incidence and prevalence of Renal Failure , with low results and high cost.

Kidney failure occurs when your kidneys  lose the ability to filter waste from your blood  enough. Many factors can interfere with kidney health  and function, such as:

  • Toxic exposure to environmental pollutants or certain medications;
  • Certain acute and chronic diseases;
  • Severe dehydration;
  • Kidney trauma.

Causes of Kidney Failure: Kidney failure can occur from an acute condition that damages the kidneys  or from chronic conditions that gradually cause the kidneys  to stop working.

In acute kidney failure, kidney function is quickly lost and a variety of insults to the body can occur. Since most people have two kidneys , both kidneys  must be damaged by complete kidney failure . Fortunately, if only one kidney fails or is diseased it can be removed, and the remaining kidney can continue to have normal kidney (kidney) function. If one of the patient’s two kidneys  is injured or diseased, a donor kidney can be transplanted.

Symptoms of Kidney Failure: The main signs and symptoms of Kidney Failure  develop over time if kidney damage progresses slowly. Signs and symptoms of kidney disease can include:

  • Nausea;
  • vomiting;
  • loss of appetite;
  • Fatigue and weakness;
  • Sleep problems;
  • Changes in how much you urinate ;
  • Decreased mental sharpness;
  • Muscle contraction and cramps;
  • Swelling of feet and ankles;
  • Persistent itching;
  • Chest pain if fluid builds up around the lining of the heart
  • Shortness of breath, if fluid builds up in the lungs.
  • High blood pressure (hypertension) that is difficult to control.

Signs and symptoms of kidney disease are often nonspecific, which can also be caused by other conditions. Because your kidneys  are highly adaptable and able to compensate for the loss of function, signs and symptoms may not appear until irreversible damage has occurred.

Diagnoses of Kidney Failure: Unless the kidneys  are swollen or there is a tumor, your doctor usually cannot diagnose Kidney Failure by feeling the kidneys . Instead, your doctor may test your urine  and blood , do a kidney scan, and test samples of kidney tissue. A routine urine test  , called a urinalysis , checks for protein, sugar, blood ,  and ketones (created when the body breaks down fat).

Urine  is also tested for an accurate diagnosis of Kidney Failure , which is a thin piece of plastic covered with chemicals that react when they touch substances in the urine . Your doctor will also check your urine for red and white blood cells  during a urinalysis  ( urine  is examined using a microscope). Depending on the suspected cause of the kidney problem, other tests may also be done.
