INGREDIENTS:

  • 200g of butter
  • 2 cups of oat flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 dessert spoon of yeast
  • 1 cup orange juice  + 1/2 cup for the syrup
  • 2 cups of sugar + 1 tablespoon for the syrup

PREPARATION MODE:

  • Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  • Grease the mold with butter and sprinkle with flour.
  • Squeeze the  oranges  and separate 1 cup of the juice for the dough and 1/2 for the syrup.
  • Separate the whites and yolks and place them in different mixing bowls (the whites in the small one, preferably.
  • Beat the butter, sugar and yolks in a mixer until a whitish mixture is obtained.
  • When it’s good, turn off the mixer, wash the beaters and put the whites to beat in snow.
  • Add the oatmeal , the yeast and 1 cup of the orange juice to the whitish mixture .
  • Mix until it forms a uniform mass.
  • When the whites are whipped into snow, add to the dough until uniform.
  • Place in greased shape and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.
  • While the cake is baking, place the 1/2 cup of orange juice  and 1 tablespoon of sugar in a small saucepan and boil over medium heat for 3 minutes.
  • Reserve.
  • After the cake is baked (if you stick it with a toothpick, it will still come out moist) remove it from the oven, run a knife on the sides that should be loose and unmold.
  • The bottom of ours all stuck to the pan, so we flipped it over again on another plate and it turned out beautiful! Drizzle with the orange  and sugar syrup and you’re done!
