7 health benefits of camphor!

The benefits of camphor are many, as it is rich in nutrients that are very important for our organism and our entire body in general. In addition, there are two types of trees from which Canfora  is extracted. Depending on its source, Canfora  is placed in two types – Common Canfora  ( Cinnamomum Camphora ) and Borneo Canfora  (Dryobalanops Camphora). While the properties are mostly the same, there is a slight difference in the smell and concentration of some of the chemicals in them.

This beneficial compound is traditionally obtained from the bark and wood of Canfora trees . Nowadays it is also produced artificially from turpentine oil. It has a wide range of uses, from health to perfume to even ant maintenance. Canfora  trees are perennial and belong to the laurel family. They can grow up to 40 meters and can live up to 1000 years.

The symptoms of its toxicity  are burning of the mouth and throat, nausea and vomiting. Also, children should be kept away from Canfora as they may not tolerate its toxicity as they are more sensitive. Pregnant and lactating women should not consume it. There are slight side effects from its application, such as redness and skin irritation .
