5 Home Remedies to Treat Ringworm!

Home remedies to treat ringworm which also known as ringworm, is a fungal infection in the outermost layer of the skin. It is named so not because there is an actual worm involved, but because of the raised, red, circular patches it leaves on the skin. Also, these spots , if not treated properly, can grow in size until they blend together and form a large, itchy rash.

Furthermore. ringworm can infect the scalp, feet, nails, groin and other parts of the body. It is contagious and can be contracted from the soil, animals and other people it is not life threatening. It’s quite common.

Home remedies to treat ringworm:

1. White vinegar:

Ingredients:

– ¼ cup of white vinegar .
– ½ cup of hydrogen peroxide 10 volumes.
– ½ cup of 70% ethyl alcohol.

Preparation method:

  1. First, mix alcohol and hydrogen peroxide.
  2. Then add the white vinegar little by little .
  3. Also, mix with a spoon.
  4. With a gauze or cotton pad, apply the mixture on the nails affected by the fungi.
  5. Also, let the mixture sit for 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. Rinse with cold water and dry your nails well with a towel.
  7. Also, repeat this procedure twice a day, in the morning and at night before going to bed.

2. Sage oil:

Ingredients:

– 2 drops of sage oil .

Preparation method:

  1. Wet a gauze or a piece of cotton wool with sage oil and apply it all over the area with ringworm.
  2. Then cover with a clean cloth and let it work on the skin.

3. Cassava tea:

Ingredients:

– 3 leaves of cassava .
– 250ml of boiling water.

Preparation method:

  1. Also, add the chopped cassava leaves to the boiling water , cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Then, strain and soak a small piece of cotton in this tea and apply to the affected region about 3 times a day, after bathing, until the mycosis disappears.
  3. After passing the tea, it is normal for the skin to be a little dry, so it is recommended to moisturize it with a little almond oil afterwards.
  4. Also, even after the ringworm disappears, continue passing the tea on the spot for another 2 days, to ensure the success of the treatment.

Attention: Cassava leaf tea is toxic and therefore cannot be ingested, being only suitable for external use.

4. Homemade aloe and malaleuca spray:

Ingredients

– 125 ml of aloe vera juice .
– ½ teaspoon of malaleuca oil .

Preparation method:

  1. Add the ingredients until you get a homogeneous mixture and then put it in a steamer bottle.
  2. In addition, shake well before use and apply 2 times a day to the lesions, using the spray for about 1 month.

5. Garlic and Merthiolate:

Ingredients:

– 1 large garlic clove .
– 1 glass of merthiolate.

Preparation method:

  1. Also, place the peeled garlic clove , cut in half inside the glass of merthiolate
  2. Then leave it overnight.
  3. In addition, after and only apply every day on the nail with mycosis.
