1. Relieve Sunburn:
Itchy, irritated skin or a little sunburn? Just add a few drops of lavender essential oil to your normal amount of natural body wash and soap.
Lavender oil soothes irritation and leaves skin soft and clean. For a refreshing experience, use a drop of peppermint oil.
2. Exfoliating:
With just a few simple ingredients, you can prepare a perfect exfoliator for pre- and/or post-shave. Combine 1 1/4 cups of sugar, 1/2 cup of carrier oil (such as fractionated coconut oil), and 20 drops of lemon essential oil.
Use the mixture to rub your legs before shaving for super smooth results. Plus, you can also use it after shaving to help prevent ingrown hairs!
3. Fight the fungus:
Yellow toenails can point to a fungal infection, but applying tea tree antifungal oil can help fight it! All you need to do is apply a drop of tea tree essential oil to the affected nail while in the shower.
Keep your feet away from running water for a minute or two and then rinse your feet and toes thoroughly.
4. Exfoliating soap:
Simplify your shower routine by making your own sugar bars. They’re quick and easy to make and offer the benefits of a bar of soap and a body scrub in one!
5. Moisturizing Scrub:
Keep a jar of Epsom salt and one of your favorite oil in the bathroom, and you’ll always be prepared to scrub dry skin. Just add a tablespoon or two of carrier oil to a small handful of Epsom salt and rub in!
This makes the quick and easy treatment perfect for feet, knees, elbows or any area of skin that dries out easily.
