Demerara sugar: what is it, what is it for? and how to use!

Demerara sugar  is an ingredient that can be used in the kitchen to replace refined sugar, without causing the same damage to health as the latter. Even though it is also obtained from sugarcane, what differentiates it from common sugar is its production process.
