Types:  There are two types of pulpitis , reversible and irreversible:

Reversible Pulpitis: Depending on the cause of the inflammation and the extent of pulp exposure, pulpitis can be reversed when the cause of the pulpitis has been removed and the tooth repaired. Certain medications may be used for restorative procedures in an effort to keep the tooth alive.

Irreversible Pulpitis: It is a serious inflammation of the dental pulp. Irreversible pulpitis often occurs after reversible pulpitis when the cause of the pulpitis has not been removed.

Main Causes:  The pathogenic agents of diseases are streptococci and staphylococci, which penetrate the pulp of the tooth. This is due to delays in dental treatment, poorly performed dental fillings.

Pulpitis is defined as an inflammatory process that affects the pulp of the tooth (soft tissue that contains nerves and blood vessels) as a result of:

• Caries.
• infections.
• Crown or tooth root fractures.
• The action of some materials (resins, cements, etc.) used in dental treatments.

Treatments :  Antibiotics such as amoxicillin are given to reduce the severity of the infection. If pulpitis is reversible, the pulp can be maintained by removing the decay. If this is irreversible pulpitis then teeth need root canal treatment or complete tooth extraction. This is a surgical procedure in which an opening is made in the tooth and the pulp is removed by the surgeon.

The root canal system is debrided, shaped and completely filled. Then he was cured. The doctor checks for the resolution of symptoms. In these cases, bone filling is done by examining the tooth radiographically.
