It also has high levels of essential amino acids, antioxidants like beta-carotene, polyphenols and flavonoids like kaempferol and quercetin. Moringa tea  does not contain caffeine.

To make it, freshly picked leaves are dried at room temperature to retain their valuable nutrients before being crushed, powdered, or shredded into loose pieces. These loose moringa leaves can be steeped or placed in tea bags. In terms of flavor, puro is said to have a slightly “green” or earthy flavor.

Moringa teas are available at groceries, but you can also make one on your own if you already have access to a moringa tree. The process is quite simple, although harvesting the leaves from the stem can be time consuming. When making a tea, you can either steep the fresh moringa leaves in very hot water after harvest 17 or dry them so you can use them for later when you are recreating different moringa tea recipes .

  • Gather three to four stalks of moringa. Choose stalks with mature leaves, as they tend to dry out faster.
  • Also, air dry the leaves (including the stems) at room temperature for a day or until the leaves are crispy. Air drying allows the leaves to fall off, making it easier to separate the stems later. You can also include the stalk in your tea for added fiber.
  • Grind the air-dried leaves for 10 to 15 seconds using a blender.
  • Also, put the ground moringa leaves in tea bags before putting them in hot water. You can also leave the sheets as they are.

Iced Moringa Tea Recipe :

INGREDIENTS:

  • dried moringa leaves,
  • Lemon,
  • Mel,
  • Ginger,

PREPARATION MODE:

  • Measure out the amount of dried leaves you would like to make, say a pot, depending on how strong it is.
  • Also, add warm water. I’ve read that hot water kills nutrients in moringa, so it’s best to use lukewarm and steep longer.
  • Halfway through the process, approximately 5 minutes, add lemon slices and ginger slices and leave a little longer.
