Impinge – Symptoms and Natural Remedies!

Impingem or dermatophytosis , scientifically known as Tinea corporis, is a skin disease  caused by fungi  that affect the skin quickly. It is a superficial dermatological infection characterized by inflammatory or non-inflammatory lesions on glabrous skin .

Impingem usually  affects regions of the trunk, groin, face and arms, but it can occur in other parts of the body. Although the world is full of fungi , only a few cause skin diseases . These agents are called dermatophytes (which means “ skin fungi ”)  . An infection with these fungi  is medically known as dermatophytosis.

Skin fungi can only live in the  dead layer of the keratin protein on top of the skin . They rarely invade the body and cannot live in the mucous membranes, such as in the mouth or vagina, for example.

Causes of Impingement:

The Cause of Impingem  is a contagious fungus that when it finds food on our skin , hot and humid places, it starts to develop and multiply, causing Impingem . Thus, you are more likely to develop this type of ringworm when:

  • Keeps skin  wet for long periods of time;
  • Keeps clothes wet;
  • It does not have adequate hygiene;
  • After bathing, the body does not dry properly.
  • The most likely places to develop this type of problem is in the folds of the body, that is, armpits, groin, bends of the knees, bends of the elbows, etc… .
  • Another possible cause is contact with infected people, as this fungus is transmissible from person to person.

Symptoms of Impingement:

There are several characteristic symptoms of Impingem . In the initial stage of the disease, blisters appear that contain a liquid and are red in color. They are very itchy  and after a while they dry up and turn yellow

Impingem  is characterized by the following symptoms:

  • Round red bubbles around and a lighter center;
  • Much itching ;
  • Skin eruptions .

After detecting the presence of these symptoms, you should consult a dermatologist so that the most appropriate treatment is indicated.

Impingem Diagnostics:

If your doctor suspects you may have Impingem , he will examine your skin  and may do some tests to rule out other skin conditions  not caused by fungi , such as atopic dermatitis or psoriasis. Usually, a skin exam  will result in a diagnosis.

Otherwise, skin scrapings  for microscopic examination and a culture of the  affected skin can establish the diagnosis of ringworm. If the diagnosis is unclear, a potassium hydroxide (KOH) preparation from a skin scraping  can be reviewed under a microscope to confirm the diagnosis of a fungus.

If a yeast infection  is present and the skin problem  is misdiagnosed, inappropriate treatment may be prescribed that can actually make the infection worse.

Risk Factors for Impingement:

Children are more prone to Impingem compared to adults. However, virtually everyone has some risk of becoming infected. According to research, about 10-20% of people will be infected with a fungus at some point in their lives.

Factors that can increase your risk include:

  • Living in damp or damp areas;
  • excessive sweating;
  • Participate in contact sports;
  • Wear tight clothes;
  • have a weak immune system;
  • Sharing clothes, bedding or towels with others.

Natural Remedies for Impingement:

1. Garlic:

It has more than interesting antimycotic properties. So it can help you in the treatment of Impingem . Maybe, it will burn a little on first contact. Leave it on the affected skin  as much as you can to enjoy its benefits.


  • 1 clove of garlic


  • Peel the garlic clove and cut it into slices.
  • Place it over the wound and cover with gauze.
  • Leave it on overnight and remove in the morning.
  • Repeat for at least a week (or until the injury disappears).

2. Salt and Vinegar:

Although the sensation is quite uncomfortable when the medicine comes into contact with the skin , the truth is that it is very effective.


  • 1 spoon of salt (10 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar (10 ml)


  • Also, in a container, put the salt and gradually add the vinegar.
  • Once you have a paste, apply it directly on the lesions.
  • Also, spread carefully and let it act for 5 minutes.
  • Rinse with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
  • Also, repeat this treatment 2 times a day for at least a week.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar:

It has many properties, among which antibiotics and antimycotics stand out. At first, it’s normal to burn a little. Use cold vinegar to soothe the symptoms of Impingem .


  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (10 ml)


  • Dampen a gauze, cloth or cotton ball with apple cider vinegar.
  • Also, apply on the lesion, pressing lightly.
  • Let it dry in the open air.
  • Also, repeat between 3 and 5 times a day.

4. Aluminum Salts:

They have antiperspirant effects, therefore, they block the production of sweat and prevent the proliferation of the fungus.


  • 1 spoon of aluminum salts (10 g)
  • Plus 1 glass of water  (200 ml)


  • In a container, place the salts and, little by little, add the water , mixing well.
  • Also, when it forms a paste, apply it on the lesion and let it act for 6 hours (better if you leave it on overnight).
  • After this time, rinse with warm water  and dry well, without rubbing.
  • Also, repeat every day for a week.
