Ingredients:
- ½ cup of lemon juice
- ½ cup elderberries
- 2 centimeters of fresh ginger
- 2 and ½ cups of filtered water
- ⅓ cup pure honey
Preparation mode:
- In a large bowl, place water , berries and ginger , over high heat until a boiling range.
- Once it has boiled, lower the heat to minimum and maintain the temperature for 20 minutes.
- Remove from fire.
- When the liquid is no longer hot, add the lemon juice and pure honey , and mix.
- It can be stored in a glass bottle in the fridge in the summer months or in a dry place in the winter months.
NOTE: For those who have access to fresh elderberry , you should simply remove the fruit from the branches and prepare it following the same instructions as before, except for the amount of water, as you should use approximately 1 1/2 cup.
