4 Health Benefits of Using Baking Soda!

The benefits of using sodium bicarbonate are the best as it has anti-inflammatory,  antioxidant , anti-toxic, analgesic and antiseptic properties, as well as many vitamins and minerals that regenerate the skin and body cells.

In addition, it can not only reduce acidity, but also slow the progression of kidney disease, and is now a therapy offered to patients.

Health benefits of using sodium bicarbonate:

Baking soda is an alkaline substance that dissolves in water and can be used to whiten teeth , fight stomach acid, clear the throat and improve performance in training. However, this substance has many other uses, and can be a good home treatment for:

1. Natural deodorant:

If you want to avoid the parabens and aluminum found in many deodorants and antiperspirants, try using a pinch of baking soda mixed with water . This simple paste produces an effective and natural deodorant. You can also rub dry baking soda into your armpits .

2. Insect and nettle bites:

Apply a paste made of baking soda and water to insect bites to help relieve itching. You can also try rubbing dry powder into the skin. This method is equally effective against itchy rashes and against nettles. Baking soda helps relieve minor skin irritations and itchiness by neutralizing toxins and irritants on the surface of the skin.

3. Improves heartburn, indigestion and ulcer pain:

Most over-the-counter antacids contain some form of bicarbonate. Baking soda works by immediately neutralizing gastric acids, helping to relieve heartburn , indigestion and pain caused by ulcers. And I’ve personally recommended it to several people, including family members, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the effectiveness of the product.

  • Dosage is typically ½ full teaspoon dissolved in half a glass of water, taken every six hours (do not take more than seven ½ teaspoon doses in 24 hours, or three ½ teaspoon doses if you have over 60 years of age).

4. Foot bath/exfoliation:

Add three tablespoons of baking soda to a bowl of hot water to apply an invigorating foot soak. You can rub your feet with a baking soda paste for extra exfoliation. A paste made with three parts of one part water can be used as an exfoliator for the face and body as well. It’s natural, inexpensive, and soft enough for everyday use.
