5 ways to remove ear wax in just 2 minutes!

These are the ways on how to remove ear wax in  a simple and natural way, wax medically known as cerumen, is a natural substance produced by glands in the ear canal that has protective, lubricating and antibacterial properties. The main job of wax is to protect the ears from bacteria and other external agents.

Most of the time, there is a slow and orderly migration process within the ear canal, in which skin cells are transported from the eardrum to the opening of the ear, where they can be easily removed.

1. Salt water:

Stages:

  1. Mix a teaspoon of salt in half a cup of warm water until the salt is completely dissolved.
  2. Soak a cotton ball  in the saline solution;
  3. Tilt the affected ear towards the sky.
  4. Then squeeze the cotton ball  to put a few drops of the salt water in the ear;
  5. Stay in the same position for three to five minutes;
  6. Then tilt your head in the opposite direction to allow the salt water to drain;
  7. Wipe the outside of the ear with a clean cloth to remove the  softened ear wax.

2. Hydrogen peroxide:

Hydrogen peroxide is another very effective remedy for excessive ear wax buildup. Due to its effervescent property, hydrogen peroxide can easily remove ear wax and debris from the ear canal.

Stages:

  1. Mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide (3%) and water;
  2. Fill a dropper with this solution;
  3. Tilt your head to the side and place a few drops of this solution in your ear;
  4. Leave it for some time and then tilt your head to the opposite side to drain the solution;
  5. Clean the Ear Wax  using a clean cloth.

3. Baby oil:

To soften the wax  and make it easier to remove, you can also use baby oil.

Stages:

  1. Fill a dropper with baby oil;
  2. Tilt the affected ear towards the sky and place two to five drops of baby oil in the ear;
  3. Place a cotton ball in the ear opening to prevent the oil from running out;
  4. Leave for a few minutes;
  5. Remove the cotton ball  and tilt your head in the opposite direction to drain the extra oil;
  6. Clean the ear opening with a soft cloth;
  7. Instead of baby oil, you can also use mineral oil.

4. Vinegar and alcohol:

A simple and easy way to  remove earwax is a vinegar and alcohol solution. The mixture will help dissolve the wax. In addition, the alcohol will serve as a drying agent and will evaporate at a low temperature and the vinegar will fight bacteria and fungi, thus preventing any kind of ear infection.

Stages:

  1. Mix equal parts white vinegar and rubbing alcohol in a bowl;
  2. Dip a cotton ball  into the solution;
  3. Tilt the affected ear towards the sky and then place two or three drops of this solution in the ear;
  4. Wait for five minutes and tilt your head to the opposite direction, so that gravity can bring out the solution, as well as the wax;
  5. Remove external wax with an earring;
  6. This remedy can also be used to treat swimmer’s ear.

5. Hot water:

Washing your ear with warm water will also help to get rid of excess wax. In addition, the gentle force of the water will dislodge the wax, making it easier to remove. Be sure to use only clean, filtered water.
