Home Remedies to Eliminate Fluid Retention!

Eliminating fluid retention is something very desired by all those who suffer from this condition. Do you feel very bloated? Chances are you are retaining fluids, especially in your legs and feet. These home remedies for fluid retention  will come in handy.

Home remedies to eliminate fluid retention:


Dandelion has a diuretic effect on the body and reduces the level of sodium, it is also rich in magnesium and thanks to this it relieves premenstrual bloating .

  • Soak a teaspoon of dandelion herb in a cup of hot water  for about 10 minutes, strain and drink this tea up to three times a day.

Note: Before starting any herbal remedy such as dandelion tea, consult your doctor as these herbs can interfere with certain medications.


  • Prepare parsley tea by placing two tablespoons of dried parsley leaves in a cup of boiling water . Let it rest for 10 minutes and take it three times a day.

Another option is to take fresh parsley juice with lemon juice.

Epsom Salt To Eliminate Fluid Retention:  Epsom salt helps your body  eliminate water  by reverse osmosis.

  • Take a hot bath with two cups of Epsom salt, soak in water  for at least 15 minutes and do this 3 times a week.

With this bath, you will also relieve muscle pain and calm your nerves.

Lemon Juice :

Eliminate excess fluids and toxins from your body by mixing two tablespoons of lemon juice in a cup of warm water  , you can sweeten it with honey and drink it every day until you see an improvement.

Fennel Seeds: 

Fennel is a diuretic that increases the level of sodium and drains water  from the kidneys. It also prevents the accumulation of toxins in the body, helps digestion and relieves intestinal gas.

  • Put a teaspoon of fennel seeds in a cup of hot water  , cover and let it rest for 10 minutes. Strain and drink this tea up to three times a day to make you feel better.


Boil a glass of water  mixed with a teaspoon of nettle powder, let it rest for 10 minutes and drink this tea three times a day.

Cranberry Juice:

The juice is diuretic and rich in minerals such as magnesium, potassium and calcium, which help in maintaining the balance in the body ‘s fluids . Have a glass of unsweetened cranberry juice every day.


To stimulate the lymphatic system and fluid drainage, place 20 drops of geranium oil, 20 drops of cypress oil and 20 drops of juniper in a hot bath, rest in the water  with the oils for 15 minutes. Do this 3 times a week.

Apple vinegar:

If you have fluid retention  in your legs , soak your feet in a tub of hot water  and apple cider vinegar for 10 minutes.


Onion is a food that cannot be eliminated from your diet , as it has multiple benefits and prevents the formation of kidney stones.

  • Boil two raw onions in four cups of water , add salt to taste and let it rest. Take this water  for a few days. You can have two or three cups a day.

You can also eat foods like cabbage, cucumbers , celery, watercress, bananas , pineapples and watermelon, drink plenty of water , limit your salt intake, and exercise regularly.
