Top 5 Causes of Cobra!

The Top 5 Causes of shingles are very important for the treatment of shingles . In addition, herpes zoster, popularly called Cobreiro , is an infection caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox, which lies dormant in the body and “awakes” for different reasons.

Cobreiro occurs when the virus reactivates, almost always because the immune system is out of balance due to certain diseases , such as cancer , HIV , or situations such as an organ transplant, lack of vitamins , stress , nervousness or  excessive anxiety .

The manifestation of Cobreiro begins, in most cases, painfully, with tingling, burning and itching at the site, accompanied or not by fever , headaches and general malaise. Afterwards, the itchy area becomes red and small, blistering eruptions filled with clear or slightly yellowish fluid appear.

Lesions usually follow the line of a nerve and are common in the thoracic, cervical, facial, lumbar, and sacral regions. Another feature is that the lesions often appear on only one side of the body .

The picture can last between one and four weeks. After that, a crust forms on the eruptions until they disappear, but the marks stay for life. When the blisters dry up, an episode of post-herpetic neuralgia can occur, which is a  sharp, throbbing, nagging pain in the area from time to time.

Cobreiro  only affects people who have already contracted the Varicella  -zoster virus, as previously mentioned, which causes chickenpox, a very common disease  in children.

Causes of shingles:  After a person contracts chickenpox, this virus remains dormant (dormant) in some nerves in our body . Herpes zoster or shingles occurs  when the virus reactivates in these nerves after many years.

Many people have suffered from such mild cases of chickenpox that they didn’t even realize they were infected. What causes the virus to suddenly become active is not very clear. Often, only one attack occurs. This infection can occur in any age group. The most likely people to develop this condition are the following:

  • Those over 60 years of age.
  • She had chickenpox before she was one year old.
  • Your immune system is weakened due to some medication or illness .

If both a child and an adult come into direct contact with a skin sore caused by shingles and  they did not have chickenpox as a child or were not vaccinated against it, they may have chickenpox and not shingles .

Symptoms of Cobra:  The main symptoms of Cobra  are:

  • Very severe neuralgic pain  that follows the course of the nerve and may persist after the skin lesions have disappeared, which characterizes postherpetic neuralgia;
  • Appearance of vesicles on the skin  similar to human herpes simplex infection. Filled with virus-containing fluid, they appear on only one side of the body  and cover a well-demarcated strip on the back or face following the bundle of innervation. When they affect the face, they affect the trigeminal nerve and, in more severe cases, can cause blindness and deafness;
  • Itching, tingling, headache  , fever , gastrointestinal disorders.

How to Avoid Contagion with Cobreiro:  To avoid contagion with Cobreiro , it is recommended not to kiss the mouth of the individual who has the wound in place, and not to use the same glass, cutlery, lipstick, or any other object that has been “contaminated” by the virus present in the wound. In case of sores in the genital area, it is recommended not to have sex and not to share sheets, towels and underwear.

Treatment for shingles:  Treatment for shingles  is done with an anti-viral for about 5 to 10 days. Some examples are: Acyclovir (Zovirax); Fanciclovir (Famvir) and Valaciclovir (Valtrex). The drug fights the virus and the lesions disappear up to 21 days in healthy individuals.
