Contrary to what many people think,  Excessive Sweating  is not related to abnormal heat or poor hygiene; and in most cases it does not cause a bad smell. The phenomenon that causes the unpleasant odor is called bromhidrosis and it only happens in excessive sweating in the armpits.

Excessive Sweating Treatment:  There are several treatment options for Excessive Underarm Sweating. First of all we can mention aluminum salts, it is used in the form of a lotion, the problem is that this method cannot be well tolerated by most people, causing skin irritations.

Another option would be the application of botulinum toxin or better known as Botox in the armpit, what this toxin does is block the action of the sweat glands. It will be applied, of course, by a doctor and the patient may feel relieved for 6 to 9 months, after which new applications will be necessary.
